When you try to lose a few pounds of weight, a lot of people who take advantage of the fruit to remove the desire to have the sweet meal. The fruit contains a lot of fiber, vitamins, and minerals so that eating a lot of fruit may sound healthy.

The fruit has health benefits that are important to the daily diet. But is it true that eating too much fruit it will undermine weight loss diet?

Jacqueline Silvestri Banks, holistic health counselor, Oregon United States origin says, the fruit contains sugar and fructose carbohydrate types are simple, two things that need to be consumed with moderation by dieters. Eating too much fruit can cause increased levels of insulin. But when the levels of insulin, the body will increase the difficulty in burning fat.

Fructose is processed in the lever (liver) and if not used immediately, this substance is stored in the body in the form of fat and can be used again as the energy at any time. Storage as fat is certainly going to be a problem for dieters.

Banks says, the amount of fructose are eaten will also need to be a concern for people with diabetes. This is because their body's ability to digest the sugar already on the decline. In other words, the mechanism of the utilization of sugar as energy or storage of unused sugars into fat people with diabetes is not as good as in healthy people.

According to the Health Research base of Ministry of health of INDONESIA in 2007, just 4 percent of Indonesia's people eat enough vegetables and fruit. Inasmuch as the average consumption of fruit is still low, it might be very rare cases of overweight due to eating too much fruit.

Unfortunately, according to the Banks, not just fructose fruit sources. Materials of natural sweeteners like honey or agave also contain fructose. Not to mention the food is processed for example cereals, bottled drinks, until bread and yogurt also contains high fructose corn syrup.

"Then make sure you always check food labels to avoid it"

Banks says, if you care about the metabolism of the body as well as a aims to reduce weight, the consumption of fruit per day needs to be restricted to two servings per day. As well as, select fruit with low content of fructose with high fibre like Green Apple.
