Processor ARM Cortex-A72 Have Power consumption 75 percent lower than Intel Broadwell

ARM processor chip manufacturers are now revealed in detail the design capabilities of the latest mobile processor, the ARM Cortex-A72. This latest processor chip is the successor of the ARM Cortex-A57 which must be present with a higher capacity and more efficient power consumption.

Interestingly, the processor chip is designed with 14nm and 16nm manufacturing technologies this. Even so, Qualcomm and MediaTek will also offer the ARM Cortex-A72 chip that uses a 28nm manufacturing technology. Of course performance 14nm and 16nm chips will be more powerful.
Compared Cortex-A57 chip, the latest number of ARM instruction-per-clock has increased between 20 percent to 60 percent. Meanwhile, energy consumption for these chips more efficiently about 18 to 30 percent. Interestingly again, ARM Cortex-chip claimed that this had a power consumption of A72 lower up to 75 percent compared to Intel Broadwell. Despite the performance, of Broadwell Intel far above.
